And thus did I buy a placesetting as a wedding gift for the umpteenth time in my life. Historically I'm a good enough friend to shake down for an $80 place setting, but I don't quite make the cut when it comes to being invited over to use it. One would think there'd be a correlation there. One would be wrong.
